I love San Pedro, CA. I love it so much that I chose it as the site of my wedding in 2006. However I feel that I missed out by having my wedding at the Crowne Plaza Hotel when there are so many wonderful outdoor locations that are just begging to be host to your wedding. In this post I’ll present three: The gazebo at Averill Park, The Pt. Fermin Lighthouse in Pt. Fermin Park and the outdoor stage also in Pt. Fermin Park.
This is the Averill Park Gazebo located on the Weymouth side of Averill Park. The park itself is a beautifully landscaped masterpiece of rolling hills, lush greenery, gentle streams and a waterfall. From the park one can also get a panoramic view of San Pedro Harbor.
Just a short distance away from Averill Park is Point Fermin Park, located on the southern most point of Los Angeles County. Pt. Fermin park not only offers gorgeous views of the Pacifc Ocean and Catalina Island but is also home to the Pt. Fermin Lighthouse which was reportedly built from California Redwoods in 1874.
The lighthouse is a very popular wedding spot but one would also do well to consider the Pt. Fermin outdoor stage which is situated just a few feet away and even comes with built in seats for wedding guests.
